On my first day I was really excited but also quite anxious, because I have never worked with disabled before and I also didn't think I am the kind of person to work with and for others. Turned out I am. 
In the first weeks I often didn't know what to do, I didn't know much about the kids and the teacher often didn't understand me or couldn't tell me what to do next, but everybody, especially the kids were so welcoming and most of them opened their heart to me from the first day. 
After a while I got used to the situation and could do much more (mostly by improvising) and knew all the tasks in the class like cooking, taking care of your body and cleaning the room. I got to know alot of the kids really well and even the shy or distant ones opened up, waved at me and then ran away quickly or even went for a hug, even though they usually don't like touch. 
I never thought I could ever love a bunch others that much regardless of their actions and without any expectations, but all these kids got my heart, trough all the little moments we shared and all the fun we had in the class room, when we played games, I wrote their names wrong and they burst out laughing or we just shared a meal. Even though I really struggled with the communication, since I don't speak vietnamese, we managed to communicate in other ways and I feel like sometimes that was even more meaningful than words could have been. 
While working in friendship Village, I learned to simply do, without being scared mad overcoming fear and borders of mind and I couldn't have had a better experience.

I will miss them so much and wish them all the best!
